WINE PHILOSOPHY
We seek out wines that are rooted in a specific place. We think that wine ought to be made in respect to, and out of respect for, the place where the vines are planted, whether it be in the Margaret River or Margaux, Monterey or Montrachet. Wine makers who have the discipline and humility to let the vines speak rather than forcing their own imprint grab our attention.
We are committed to bringing wine to the common table. If there is one thing we dislike about our field of work it is the unfortunate association of fine wine with snobbery. We aim to dispel this association and to promote the reality of wine as a part of everyday life.
In the most universal terms, our approach to sourcing wine is based on finding and passing on value. We believe that in today’s ever-expanding wine market there is a wine appropriate for every dish and every palate every day. We also believe that enjoying wine shouldn’t necessitate refinancing your mortgage!
Our collective experience in the wine business has taught us where to find wines that offer healthy financial and epicurean returns over time.
Above all else, wine must bring joy.
